Tap the end flat like a little paddle, tuck it slightly forward. Then file an edge on the back, to make a small scraper. It will grab crap like you won’t believe.

Im having trouble visualizing what you're describing and in the mean time I just booked 3 more showers... :eekk:

Okay; you heated and bent each pick to a right angle. On one or two, while the metal is hot you flatten the tip to make a miniature scraper. Then quench it in oil to temper it.
It will scoop out the gunk ten times better.
