Wand vs Rotary Carpet Tool ???

Let me start this by saying I am not a carpet cleaning guy, so, I have limited knowledge of the carpet business. This is why I am asking the guys who do this everyday.

Do you primarily us a Wand or Rotary tool like the HOSS (or what ever rotary you prefer) ?

Why would someone chose to us a wand over a rotary tool? Price?/ No added value? What?

In my limited exposure a Rotary tool would seem like the way to go. Faster/Easier etc.

I own a 360i that I just upgraded to a quad head and love it. Its great on many jobs because its easy to sling around and its so light.. it does a way better job than a wand, but sometimes a rotatory can be overkill sometimes. I would be happy if we used it 80% of the time, amazing dry times too.

I was just at RotoVac a couple of days ago and saw the new 360XL final version and wow that is going to make some waves.. watch out Hoss and T REx..
