Anyone ever done real testing as to the difference of wands- 1.5" vs. 1.75" vs. 2" recovery or dry times?
Or better still those wands with a 12 or 14" head? All this would have to be Ceteris Paribus so as to not be more confusing than necessary.
I'm really curious as to what it really is, how much difference does it actually make to lug around the 2" all day vs a 1.5 in actual measured units of time, rather than the ever present ambiguous answers I seem to find on search results.

After using a 1.5 for years, it feels like a toy now compared to my 2" wand.

No scientific testing done on my part.

I use a 1.5 and 2.0 Hydra Hoe and am very happy with the dry times. I bought a aw29 once and the dry times were pretty shitty.

Prochem 4 jet 1.5 inch and prochem titanium 6 jet 2 inch are both great wands and well worth the price....
The titanium 14 inch is actually lighter and well worth the price.......
I believe prochem has researched to do the best airflow on wandss.....
Find a used w glides or pay 1500$....
At that the zipper is 2000$ and has better airflow.....

2 in shafted 12 inch head wand with hole glide is going to give you your best dry times but a slot or no glide at all will give you better cleaning but with lockdown

Which variations have you used at length Lonny?
I have used an AW29 with 11002's, and a 1.75" hydramaster two jet 11003's, with green glide on both. I have not really noticed a difference on dry times between either wand.
Granted it is the difference of 1/4" in tube size, both have a 12" head. I'm not in a hurry to replace the wand, but would like to see a better dry time without sacrificing flushing ability. I normally clean between 4-500 psi. I've seen comments on 1-2 hour dry times, but am never sure about all the variables- how much flushing did it need, were fans used to dry, etc?

II've seen comments on 1-2 hour dry times,

in all but rare cases, that's "dry to touch"...which ain't really dry, dry , as in moisture meter dry
and even "dry to touch" is pretty subjective

when questioned on individual's definition, I've heard things like

"can't transfer moisture to a paper towel"
"my knees don't get wet when kneeling on carpet"

and the best one i heard,

"when I touch the carpet, if water isn't dripping off my hand, that's "dry"
fo-reel..that was Ken Harras' definition :icon_rolleyes:
