We almost exclusively clean carpet with HWE, but find some customers may be better served with VLM. Can anyone give us some insight on how you're pricing low moisture cleanings. Are there variations in pricing when using wet encapsulants versus dry compounds? How does your price for VLM compare to your price for HWE if you're doing both?

Although the equipment costs are less, your chemical cost are significantly more. Labor will be higher and headaches will increase unless you or your techs are master bullshitters.

In other words charge quite a bit more.

Generally we give discounts for volume or a lower rate may be quoted when the conditions allow for higher production rates. We really don't offer reduced rates simply because of a change or combination of methods.

We have a target per hour goal that we are trying to achieve. Based on that target goal, we adjust the price according to production rates.

I think you'll find dry compounds are going to very pricy! They will drive the cost of sale way up and if you don't compensate for it in your pricing, you'll clean at a break even or even a loss.
