They offered me $27.36 for my 2000 Butler unit on a trade

Think I'll put it on their classified site and sell it on my own

Seriously, Fred. I was curious what it was worth to them? I only ask because they make a pretty big deal about their buy back program and I wonder how good it REALLY is.

I suppose it's not much different than anywhere else, even a car dealership. You'll do far better selling on your own.

Yes Russ, it is very similar to a dealership.

It's a seamless transaction, their offer to me on my 2001 Butler years ago was $5 grand below what I sold it for . Their classified site is the reason I got so many inquiries and the higher price tho.

Those are excellent trucks Brian, and if I was in the market for an inexpensive, top of the line, daily use carpet cleaning van, a refurbished Hagopian truck would be my top choice.

Must be new program..when I was selling my butler a 07 with 120k miles they refused to buy it back unless I was buying a new van from them lol

So the buy back program comes with strings attached unless they changed their policy..

And I had records of excellent maint...they said no thanks..to many miles

Transmissions more than engines, but I remember Kenny telling me that they were having engine failures with the 05-06 trucks

Nate I still love the system and think its awesome..just about the best system out there..you will never see or hear me say otherwise...I just speak the honest truth good or bad and the honest truth was when my butler was for sale they were not interested in buying it back.
I have told prob 15 or more people that have called me since I switched over from butler to sapphire the same thing..

Never have I said anything bad about butlers just why they don't fit my needs or future path of my company.

I guess i bleed mostly sapphire and a little butler now lol

marty i made the change because i was not happy having 2 worn out drive trains with great looking vans and great running units in them and having to drop 4-5k each van to replace the engines then still having
3-400k on the other parts..after factoring in machine hrs..

also if the van ever gets wrecked and needs a few weeks of work done im screwed, or totaled van but machine is fine im screwed, tired of something breaking on a friday and being down till monday
afternoon when next day air ups comes in..van is super easy to work on but butler makes so many thing propitiatory to them it makes it impossible to bypass things to get work done

i can have my sapphire in another van in 4 hrs running..a rental if needed..making money..

also maint is way less not having the negine running all the time..oil changes, belts, and everything associated that wears out while engine is running..

when this van is tired and worn out all i have to do is go buy a van not another system..

i dont want to change them out every 3-4 years and always have a machine payment..im shooting for dept free pluse many other things that factored into my decision..

as awesome as the butler is it didnt suck as hard or create and maintain the heat the 570ss does

Yeah, I understand man ... but in the end, you don't have the one thing that really matters ...

Chris, Not too many people called him Kenny... only a few close friends. I know he considered you one!!

We did have an issue with a couple of years and faulty transmissions and it seems like similar issues with a couple of engines.

I have to agree..that's a huge thing being able to close the truck up and clean in the dumping rain!!

I built a rain cover that stretches between the doors to cover the machine and the guys in the rain and the back doors to but the windows have to stay closed..it sucks for sure..
