Re: OK LARRY........

waiting for me to say "thanks Bob"???

I tried Bob's "blower douche" method just now.

fookin blower siezed over night last night.
second time in 10 days

didn't need to loosen the end plates Bob
just a couple healthy cranks with the P-wrench got it loose.

I'm more concerned about how to prevent seize ups in the future.
The little genies swear they lubed the blower at shut down last night

I always love asking this:

Lubed what?

Ain't nothing in those lobes that needs lube....maybe some water displacement, but save the "lube" for gears and seals.

Lobes get crusted up with soap and crap....wash em'...and Dry em' once in awhile...no issues.

I tend to agree...however the tolerance is at the endplates so a little WD won't hurt!

Getting the soap completly out is imperative!

I think my tolerences are gone, I haven't oiled or WDed my blower ever and it is 20 years old and I have been haven my high level float swith uncupulated for the past year and as of late since all my tweakes to my anti Q machine we now get a little froth coming out the blower exahust now and again when it get close to being full. We just washes it out but always let it spin dry after running any thing through it.
