I recently got a restoration job from an insurance agency. I would like to reward them for the referral, what is the best way to do so without making it seem like I made a fortune off of them? Anybody that could help me with this, I would really appreciate it.

Make them look good.

Make sure they know you will make them look good.

They usually want no reward except "no problems!".

When you get work based on your merit, you should reward it by confirming their confidence in you.

I become very uncomfortable when someone wants to pay me for a referral I make. To me, it takes away from the spirit of the intention.

Most states have laws making it illegal for insurance agents and adjuster to receive ANY type of reward for a referral. I the future try to get the homeowner to call them and thank them for referring you.

Lee is right, just make them feel confident in you competence. Perhaps let them know you will give the clients FREE moisture inspections.

Here you cannot give anything with a value over $10.

They really just want you to make them look good with their client, so their client renews the policy and they keep their book strong.
