Water Softeners

I'm looking for a water softener for my home and to fill my truck out of. What are you guys using? Pros and cons, lets hear em.

33 years on my Flint and Walling softener and I have only had to change the clock.
Not because it broke but it got a little noisy.
13 years in my 1st. house and 20 years in my 2nd.

I fill my water tank from my water softener from home. It is a basic sears model and has worked well for about the last 10 years, just started having problems not softening last week, time to replace it I guess.

Gat a Whirlpool at Lowe's. I don't have any issues with water deposits.
