Water Softening machine in your van

How many of you use water softners? Do they work well, are they worth the cost?

They do help. Your chemicals will be more effective and less ware and tear on the machine.

Pulled mine out and put in in the garage...added a large unit to the house and had them account for the truck and it has been much easier.....either way..on the truck or in the garage....I would not be with out one....

I use a self-charging Kinetico, and it helps keep the plumbing scale free and lets you use less chems.

I use soft water when I fill up at the house and descale every 500 hours. Most of the water around here isn’t too hard except for some of the small towns. From what I have seen most guys that have water softeners on the truck don’t keep them charged.
