What's a "turbulator", Tom?

Turbulators are many long insert's that are placed into the exhaust heat exchanger.
Something about dramatically increasing surface area etc...The increase in heat output was most noticable dual wanding.






P.S. I didn't name the thing's just installed them.

i didn't care about what they're called or who named them , was curious what they were.

are they just for AT exchangers?
or available for other units that use exhaust HX?

I don't know if they are made for other machines, but they could be (they are very simple), and I was just passing the other info on FYI as it is a strange name.
