I have been wanting one for a few years but refused to pay nearly $500 for a vacuum. Got lucky on Ebay last week and got this new one for only $62 including shipping.
This carpet was already vacuumed good by the cleaning lady.
I did a quick 5 minute coverage of the large room.
I was shocked by the amount of small heavy particles that came out, I'll bet this little bit wieghed over a pound.
One of the best Vacuums that I have ever used fo sho.

do a little mod, take some 1/8thick, 1/4" weather stripping around outer edge of the filter tray, forces all the air through the filter, saves the motor.
Best to get a few packs of filters(foams and submicrons) and belts and an extra brush from cleartrak.com
free shipping in the US

Hey Ron

I did notice the rear filter tray does not snap in or fit real snug.
Is this the area you were suggesting to mod.
Do you have a picture ?

Mine does not snap in either. After droppinng it on the sidewalk a couple of times, I use a small piece of clear packing tape to hold it on between filter checks.

Is there an upright made that can pick up small items, like coins, screws, tacks, that you don't always see on a carpet until it hits your beater bar?? There was one available years ago....maybe marketed by ProChem....that would pick up large items like ink pens and such. Can't seem to find it.
