I did a repair today and I'm just not happy with the results, surely there is something I could have done differently. Notice in the after pic you can see the seems of the patch. It seemed to fit well but I worked for 2.5 hours and just could not make them go away. As you can see the area is next to a wall, not in a traffic area so that's not an issue.
The situation is this exact carpet is not made anymore according to the manufacturer but the lady did not want to just move the orange stain to the closet, so what she decided to do was use the closet for the donor but she found a sample that was a very close match to put back in the closet instead of the stain. It turns out we should have just used the sample piece as the main donor because it was so close to exact, it would have saved us from have 2 patches. The last 2 pics are of the closet.
Ps I had to take the last 2 with my phone cause my camera battery died, so that's why the difference in coloring.
