What is the advantage of Stainless HX?

The 2018 Legend has stainless HX. Of course, I just bought a 2017.

Should I be eating my heart out?

What are the advantages of stainless?

Unless it's a different design that holds more heat, it seems to me that it's able to have a less chance of freeze damage. It might hold more water pressure if it uses different fittings, but that really doesn't matter if it's the same water pump. I think you got an awesome truckmount at an awesome deal, so I wouldn't be too concerned

More pressure, ss does not transfer heat as well as copper tubing, but does handle low temps better, but no matter what a bad freeze can wreck em all

SS can handle engine exhaust service better, more resistant to corrosive effects. Copper transfers heat more readily but limited pressure.

Hard freeze can kill ANY heat exchanger.
