It's tough to get cleaners to even try new and innovative stuff to help make the job easier.
Some 20 years back, I invented Wand Skis to make stroking the wand easier.
I sold a couple dozen sets. Nobody even would try them.
Around that time, Ken Raddon came up with the Sofa Jack that holds up a sofa or bed or desk so it could be cleaned under without moving it.
Ken sold a few- but most never even tried it. (I loved mine.)
Some 15 years back, I imported and sold Sliders Furniture Easy Movers. Sold a few sets. Most cleaners would not even try them.
Around that time, I got a turbine vacuum to use instead of an electric vac. I tried to interest other cleaners- nobody was interested.
And so it goes.
Last year, I came up with an adaption to Ken's Sofa Jack. I sold a few. Most cleaners won't even consider it.
The cleaners who have actually tried it- all bought one.
A new concept is tough to put across.
One of the best ideas I have seen in the last couple years is the sticky tabs.
How many cleaners use them? I have no idea, but I bet very few.
The pouch that holds 2 spotters that attaches to the wand is another great idea. How many cleaners use these? Very few, I bet.
The Teflon and other wand
glides are another great idea. No question it makes the work easier. I bet most cleaners still do not use one.
Sour grapes? Me? Naaaah. I really don't care. I made the work easier for myself with the great ideas . If others do not care, why should I?
