Not going with VLM right from day one.

If I could go back I would’ve got a Cimex and then an OP, and skipped truckmounts and portables entirely.

I would’ve also charged way more for VCT strip and wax. Maybe even skipped it altogether. Thankfully I’ve almost gotten away from that nonsense entirely.

I’m now getting into the learning phase of options trading. Work smart, not hard.

Not having my Babe, partner on #thetruck as long as I did. But, she wouldn’t quit! Maybe she wouldn’t have had knee replacement, roto cuff surgery, feet issues, blah blah blah. But I did hate not having her with me when she wasn’t. She was awesome!

Taking the wife to bob Evans now. She cuts my time a lot. With her I'm an hour without an hour and a half minimum for $325.

I get it! They go like lightning unlike an employee. We never took lunch breaks when we were on a job. We just worked till we got it done. When we hired people and they were
on a project with us, they would say, when’s lunch, at 2 or 3 or4😂

Should have told them to eat on the road between job sites 😉

I dont regret getting into restoration even though I dont offer that service anymore. I would never had met Mack Clark or got to learn how to actually run a business. I do regret not meeting him earlier.

It’s few and far between that a couple can work together 7 days a week and still like each other. I know one who goes with you everyday as a team is special.
We are not full time together. Genny runs her business and I have mine but we work on the same jobs a lot and together on some others. I refer her and she refers me. It's a nice set up. Wish we had started sooner in life together. Got married NYE 2016 in the house we bought march 2015.

We were 38 when we started from Scratch. We almost got into residential because of church relationships. We learned real fast that wasn’t for us. We both hated it even though my babe had the minty fresh breath, and all the rest. We couldn’t fit it in, and didn’t want to.

What did Mack teach you, specifically?
Wow, where do I start. I was with Mack for about 5 years so it was kinda like going to college to get a business degree. I will name the top 2

1. Five functions of Management. Planning, Staffing, Organization, Direction and Control. Every business situation can be solved using these functions of Management

Other people use different terms like Marcus Lemonis' uses People, Process and Product

2. "Clearly Stated Expectations" Critical when training staff, but also helpful in many other aspects.

For you guys that said you were tool old to start,

I was too young. I just jumped in at 23yo and had no clue what I was getting into. I should’ve started at 30yo

So what level is your business at today?
