Figure Skater Scott Hamilton is from here. Our town provided a lot of secret homes for the underground railroad during the civil war. Battle of Ft Meigs is just 5 minutes up the road.

It's more the county than the city - we've only got one incorporated town in the entire county.

1) Harrold ISD - town has a post office open 1\2 day and one convenience store. they play 6 man football, but they're known nationally because in 2008 they passed policy for teachers to pack heat. they are getting lots of attention right now. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,404721,00.html

2) Waggoner Estate - largest ranch under one fence in the US = 525,000 acres. own more, but that much is connected to each other.

4) Home of the North Texas State Hospital where the criminally insane come to get rehabilitated... They are home to the mother that drown her 5 children, etc. Lovely place!
