Ol' Bessy...She's done me good but she's on her last straw.......

Gota 98 Ford E-350......UNDER 100,000 miles. Not barely a spec of rust.

Has a engine knocking/ticking and been burning a gallon of anti-freeze INTERNALLY PER 2-4 weeks for over a year.
Between head gasket and engine not looking to put thousands into it.
It has a V6. NO JOKE V6. I guess Ford only did that for a few years with the big vans and alot of them that big with the small engines have alot of problems early on.

I REALLY need a 350. Between Extractor/Truck mount..hoses...air movers...chems...spotting machine....and not to mention all the other toys.

What is everyone using???

150? 250? 350?

1500? 2500? 3500??

I am in Iowa but not sure if I'm as cool as Waldo to get an ambulance. :) Even tho we r only an hour and a half apart and if needed he could help me in EMERGENCIES!! Get it EMERGECIES?? AMBULANCE!!! Ha!!!

Thanks.

If you carry fresh water, you need a 1 ton

if no fresh water tank, a 3/4 ton Ford will carry the load .
same brakes and drive train as the 1 ton

it's all we've ever run

Get the one ton. I see that Ford has some of their new E350 vans vans with dual rear wheels. Same van with fiberglass fender flares on the back wheels. Might be worth checking out.

2500 hd chevy is nearly the same thing as the 3500. Just make sure you go with 8 lug wheels. I believe the same goes for ford. If a 1 ton shows up reasonable buy it or go with 8 lug 3/4 ton.

if you have to ask, go the box truck route...

even the small 10' trucks would be better then a van
