Any idea what this crap might be? If you zoom in it looks like little glass shards.

First time I've had anything like this in my filters.

Undissolved rinse products? Scale? Rust?

When we use flex ice it causes that for some reason?

if so....it's descaling/dislodging scale present in your TM

Those schedule 80 iron coils always rust a bit or have a black oxide build up. Flush the machine before you hook up your pressure line.

Flex ice is an acid, but my machine doesn’t do that with liquid acid rinse. Only flex

Fillers.

When I was using another powdered rinse I saw a lot of variation from batch to batch. It was also causing some mold issues on outdoor furniture and carpet.

Since I switched that problem went away.

Liquid slurry and dry slurry did it to me liquid 90 leaves everything nice and clean.

But they say your supposed to run fresh water through your lines and bleed all the chemical out to prevent it.
