That’s cool with me
It's actually what is needed. A van just doesn't have the room to cram everything a modern carpet cleaner needs now days. Carpet, upholstery, tile, wood floors, commercial carpet cleaning equipment. Plus WDR equipment can just overwhelm most vans.

Extended vans work great, if packed correctly.

I have a 24" x 96" x 3/4" roll out platform/ramp for the heavy stuff. Lot's of shelves and ceiling mounted stuff.

2x 100 gal recovery, 125 gal fresh tank.

Well, if Butler, Cleanco and SS aren't working out how to put these things in newer vans(Ford & Dodge) they aren't going to be in business much longer.

My "guess" is, it's not so much a matter of their engineers finding a way, it's getting Ford/Dodge/Nissan to accept the mods and warranty the van

No not them

It was an Aussie manufacturer called McConnell and they used a liquid ring pump similar to a milking machine.

They are gone now. I saw one of their machines last year still going strong.
