The goodwill you will get for doing that is priceless

Its really up to you, but ages later, I've only benefited from that practice.

I sent a customer to you Monday (and told him to wait till Friday to be clear) to get your special rather than sell him what I had here.

You should at least do that much for your customers.

Agreed. A customer who loyally orders from you without looking for a discount is the customer who deserves the discount. They are your true and loyal customers not tire kickers.
