I'm getting a surprising amount of orders this week from people that don't realize I'm having a 20% off sale starting on Friday

Would Jim or J*sus refund them the 20% or would they do so only if they ask...

Of course you give them discount. Repeat business is everything, and that's built on how you handle these situations

That would be the date.

The goodwill you will get for doing that is priceless

Its really up to you, but ages later, I've only benefited from that practice.

I sent a customer to you Monday (and told him to wait till Friday to be clear) to get your special rather than sell him what I had here.

You should at least do that much for your customers.

Here's the thing Mike:

You have just a little less money than Jeff Bezos.....so you can't run Greenglides like Amazon. Just make it an extension of you.

Probably to wait to chime in -- But, Don't process the order until Friday and then give them the discount/refund.
Then tell them you valued their business so much that you wanted to save them money by waiting to process the order until the Black Friday sale started.
