I can report that the Saigercide seems to be a hit. Yesterday my entire day consisted of Urine jobs. I ran out of my Unleashed because the dilution ratio of 1:1 sucks and I can't drive around with 20 gallons in my van. So, I switched to Petforce and acid rinse for my urine work and then deodorized with the SaigerCide. I'm really happy. Yesterday I was depressed, but today i'm happy because my followup calls were positive. Every job yesterday was urine, urine, and more urine. I just couldn't get away from it . The added work really put me off schedule. Thankfully my customers were understanding when I had my assistant call to push their appointments back.

Anyway, the jobs were all bad, but my second one was the worst. The carpet had 4" diameter dark yellow urine spots everywhere and the place smelled horrid. I had to hold my breath to enter the place. The furniture had rusted into the carpet due to the years of being peed on by a Taco Bell dog.

Normally I would walk from a job like this because really what should be done is total replacement. I disclosed my opinion to the lady and let her know there was no way I could guarantee the results with that much contamination. I gave her the blacklight tour and much to my surprise she told me that was all pre-existing from the last tenant. Oh boy, major denial. She pretty much begged me to clean it so she could get her deposit back. UGH! I was very clear with her that the carpet was beyond any sort of reasonable restorative condition, I just want to ram that home to you guys, and Meg. I even told her how to treat any yelling or wicking that may occur, partly because I didn't want to deal with a call-back, and I was sure there were all sorts of timebombs hidden in that pad. This was one of those situations where she didn't have the money to pay for the OSR work yet she needed something done. Plus it would have been cheaper to replace the carpet rather than hit every spot. I know I'm going in circles here, but the reader's digest version is, I felt bad for her, she lived like a pig, I did what I could for her within her budget, and admonished her about the true nature of the beast.

Off to work I went. Normally I go through about a gallon or more of odorcide a week. The stuff adds up. Today was different. I was armed with my economic SaigerCide. I added 2 cups of the SiagerCide in my HF and another 4 cups in my rinse then cranked up the injection to 6-8 gph. Hung my spray bottle of USR on my ass pocket and stuffed my bottle of rust remover in my other pocket. As I said above, I could not breath in that place it was so bad. As I started spraying the Saigercide/prespray around it immediately knocked down the odor to a particulate that was no longer chewable. I was like a fat Tom Cruise'ish gladiator fighting the wiener spray of a geriatric Chihuahua. The battle was Epic. I looked over my shoulder and could see the blue powder coat peeling off my SS-870 due to the urea tonnage filling my waste tank, but Bertha was sucking it all down with gusto.

Finished the job and wished her luck. I told her again I did what I could for her within my given parameters. Thankfully she was thrilled with the looks and smell of her carpet. Now this was only my first day using this new deodorizer, so I was, and still am, a little hesitant of it. The major reason I use Odorcide is simply because it works, no fuss. That being said, so far this new stuff seems to be keeping up. I called 2 of my three jobs today to follow up on the results. Both customers were thrilled and said there was no return of the odor. I will be following up again in another week just to make sure. Honestly, I'll be surprised if anything can help that nasty place. Every pour of that concrete subfloor has got to be filled with Chihuahua love. So far the results are promising. If this stuff works consistently, there are going to be a lot of worried vendors out there.

Well...I never intended to even get this deep into anything....

The chemistry side just came about more as we were having things made for what I would call selfish reasons....of just having thing made for our family so we would enjoy cleaning more....as we started cleaning 50 years ago, there wasn't really much chemistry for cleaning carpets as a HWE method....

Anything else ever done was again, just out of necessity and coming from Way North.... and Farming background in the old days...you learned how to make something work...or figure out how to make something out of what you could find....

Than along comes the internet, and doing what we Saiger's do...as my dad and uncle did....we just help people....the internet just made it easier....

We will never get rich off a bottle or case of chems...and sometimes, it would have just been easier to keep my mouth shut....but...it's not in my DNA....so, for now....I hope if anything, maybe the ideas and chems will continue to help my cleaning friends....and maybe someday, there will be some extra cash to help out my family in the future....

I do thank everyone for all the kindness... and Mikey has a couple of things that we have been working on....and with any luck, if they keep testing well....they will come to market...

I have been testing a bunch of items....and one thing leads to another new discovery lately....

But today...just got home from being gone a week...have just finished a ton of paper work for the past 4 hours...running out the door now to go clean a couple of what I hope is stinky rentals....

Had a wedding yesterday in the family...so 5 hours of sleep the day before....6 hours last night....cleaning for few hours....Jazz Concert big band rehearsal at 6 pm tonight....clean like crazy tomorrow....Big Jazz Fest concert tomorrow night playing in...hurt my liver some more....and clean until I probably puke somewhere during the week...

It goes from "Can't give a job away" :hopeless: to...."oh good grief...where were you a month ago...." :dejection:

(and...on another topic...my wife makes an absolutely beautiful Grandma!:rockon::rockon:)

She loves her family and GrandBabies! Danced with them all night at the wedding dance... :)

This is why we are working towards what we are doing really....

And me....I'm just a comfy Grandpa.... :)

So...thanks again! :)
