whats the best non water based spotter for homeowners?

I may take some heat for this but why not recommend an oxy based laundry detergent powder. Most good laundry detergents have enzymes, surfactants, and some have sodium p. The customer could mix a teaspoon with hot water, apply it to the stain, let it dwell, and then rinse away.

Customers never rinse out spot removers well enough and the peroxide will strip some color.

You must mean the best dry-solvent. I don't believe there is one. Most carpets today are tufted. If you give your client some dry solvent, be prepared to fix the delamination that will occur soon afterwards.

Maybe he meant 'encapp' spotter that the custi can vac up since most aren't able to rinse out?

Dawn "Dish detergent"......synthetic soap + some degreaser....

Then "White Vinegar" to rinse......Light acid


PS If they are sTuPiD enough to use "EITHER"..straight.. :roll: They cannot HURT anything..!!

I remember a guy giving his clients a bottle of bipolar spotter. He'd tell them if the spot doesn't come out, call him.
It was plain water.
