it’s completely vertical.

This again? It will be fine. I ran mine for 2 years in a small van. No issues with heat. I will say life is better in a high top.

Looks like it's a little far from the sliding door. Exhaust is hitting the floor. Otherwise it should be fine. Make sure the back doors are open when running. Plenty of airflow.

Yeah and it helps keep the thieves from having to break into your vehicle

Maybe the owner set the machine back from the door to give him room to access the van from the side door. That is important to me. He could install a roof vent if he needs more air circulation.

Try installing away from the heat source instead of directly over the heat source. Try towards the rear of the van.

Heat will still escape and once done with the job and on the road, it will exhaust even faster with windows down until you get back to ambient temp. Then you can run the AC if needed.
