We should all change the verbage to "open area cleaning".
The customer gets a better idea because "traffic lane cleaning" sounds just like cleaning the walk path.

that's what we did and it eliminated a lot of confusion.

I don't offer open area. A room is a room. I move couches, chairs and a few other items that aren't breakable such as coffee tables end tables without lamps or anything plugged in. $45 first room $25 each additional. Presprayed, prescrubbed and steam cleaned

that's all I offer is open area cleaning...although we may move a sofa or something if needed.

What are your thoughts on charging the same price whether you move furniture or not? Let's get real. How much furniture do you really move other than a few sofas, end tables, chairs, and maybe a plant or two?

After I say "open areas" I will usually say "we clean whatever carpet we can reach without moving anything". That seems to get the point across.
