Wheel down rotary and high speed op, What do you think?

Not sure if I got the links right but I'll try again if not.

Anyway, here's a couple of videos, one is a faster op with a large orbit, if produced it would cost a lot less than the current large orbit op on the market.

The other is a wheel down rotary, you use it just like a wheel down op for all the same reasons someone would prefer a wheel down op over the standard op. This is not a good video the manager was there at the restaurant I was cleaning and waiting for me to finish so I didn't have time to play around with the machine and do a video like I wanted.

So just wondering what kind of interest there might be in either machine.

Can't do figure eights with wheels down rotary.
Like Larry said a rotary doesn't need wheels down.

You need to be able to do different techniques with it. Much more versatle than any stoopit OP machine.

I'm not trying to make a case for the wheel down rotary just trying to get some feed back on to see how much interest there might be in it, so thanks Mike,Larry and jEmmy.

I use both rotary and op depending on the task, my experience with a rotary in order to hit the fibers at all sides you just need to over lap I make long strides one way and come back the other way over lapping when I can, a lot of circles and short back and forth movements will wear you out on big jobs.
The wheel down rotary will take the weight of the handle and the solution tank off of the operator, the handle release will be up high on the handle and you will be able to flip up the base to change pads and not worry about losing chems out of your tank.
You can stop the machine and leave it in place without having to lock the handle up right, it won't zip out from under you on uneven floors no banging walls, and it's just down right less fatiguing on large jobs.

I'm not saying it will replace the standard rotary but it does seem to have some benefits over it from what I can see so far.

The wheel down op was out for a couple of years before people started taking real notice of it.

As far as the high speed large orbit op, I can't see any reason it should cost $5500.

I personally like it, I believe if wheels down like shown I could take my wife along and put her on the buffer and pre-scrub the solution into the carpet MUCH easier than trying to balance the buffer like we all do. Also I can see it would take ALL the pressure of balancing the machine, on bigger areas I could see this very useful for our situation, I have often thought about doing this to the three buffers I have. The 17" is not bad but the bigger 20" if I had this wheel kit I could see my wife having no problem running it, as the 20" with the cotton bonnets I have can be a workout even for me on larger jobs.
I think it is awesome.

It depends on the person. For me, running a rotary is tough on the back and one knee. The twisting motion aggravates old injuries making extended use hard to deal with. A wheels down machine would help, I think.

Please I can drink coffee and run with one hand, I know how to do it. But load a solution tank with 3 gallons and then balance that, as you have to, it is two heavy now and it gets OLD VERY FAST, My wife cant do that but with this kit I see her having no problems at all.
I say make the KIT, I can see a plus having it more than a negative.

I think hitting a dry spot with wheels down would be much easier to get out of, then hitting a dry spot with no wheels for a beginner any kind of sudden mishap with buffer, hands, arms become stiff due to panic and away the buffer goes.
The internet is full of videos that will entertain you of the buffer mishaps

This is actually a benefit of the wheels down design, the wheels keep the machine from throwing you or the machine as long as you have your hands on the handle.

No I don't hate orbitec and have no beef with Clark.
It was just one of those expensive adventures one has in carpet cleaning that resulted in something taking space in my garage. Why I tried to love it...........dreamed of it actually being money well spent.............but finally said "FOOK IT" and sold it to that hack klown Dirk in Lincoln.

To understand.........me, I used to live next door to some neighbors who own 3 , yes...........THREE rescue dogs.
The first one they got was a Jack Russel terrier and the other two were mongrels not unlike a human version like......Marty. But anyway those dogs terrorized me..........couldn't go out into my back yard for anything because they wanted to rip out my throat. No talking to the neighbor did any good. I threatened that if that fooking Jack Russel EVER got out and bit me or my wife I would take them to court. He did get out a few times and confronted me in my own yard. At night I would dream of ways to KILL them dogs. Poison.........etc. One dream I had was if that Jack Russel got out was to lure him into my garage........and close the door. And then I would knock him out with a baseball bat. And careful to keep him alive I would put him in a trash can.............and spray ether into it further subduing him. Knocked out...........I 'd take him and duct tape his legs together.............and cover his snout. Then when he woke up ...........helpless I would mock him.......torture him.......starve him.............for days. Then when I tired of that I would drive down to the river and suspend him with a rope on the bridge. Dunking him ..............teasing him...............then slowly lowering him until his snout was barely visible.................making him gasp for air. A quick cut of the rope would send him into the torrid waters below...............forever. So that's why I hate RESCUE dogs...................they are crazy and should be destroyed ...............in an INCINERATOR.

I have been working on installing a wood floor for a Dr. Reverend Baptist Preacher this week. I got the bathroom done yesterday but couldn't get the toilet back in because the bolts were not long enough to compensate for the raised height of the toilet. Last thing I told the "good" reverend before leaving yesterday was that I would get some longer bolts and install the toilet this morning AND to have his freezer unloaded today so I could move it out to finish in the laundry room

Upon arrival this morning, I immediately proceeded to the bathroom so I could remove the toilet and install the new bolts. (the toilet was merely left sitting in place yesterday with no water hooked up.) When I pulled the toilet up off the floor, out gushed about a gallon of brown water onto the floor and my shoes! I cussed and fussed, but continued to move out the door with the toilet (and my wet shoes).

I was about halfway out the door when I heard a large SPLAT! I froze in place praying I didn't hear what I thought I heard. Sure enough, I looked down and between my shoes is a rather large and slimy TURD! I look around me and the bathroom and halfway down the hall is covered with brown water!
I immediately hurry out the door and into the garage with the toilet. Then hurry back and raid HIS linen closet for his BEST towels. I sling about 8 of these down onto the floor, swirl them about and kick them out into the garage. After completely soaking a dozen or so of his towels in brown water (and sopping up the turd in one), I make sure the towels are ALL kicked into a pile right at the back door.

Satisfied that I have cleaned enough so that I can keep working, and have deposited the stinking towel in the best place to annoy him upon his return, I then proceed to go about moving the freezer.
Guess what ... the idiot hadn't emptied the freezer! Seems all he bothered to empty was his bowels!

I actually don't think its funny, I think its hilarious!

So. Isn't the rotovac wide track a wheels down unit? Or at least the two heads counter rotate. I think. And the old prochem power glide also? That's pretty much the only scenario a wheels down rotary would work. But I could see the benefit. I ran an RX for 8 hours last week. It was its own kind of exhausting.
As far as high speed op machines. I get the concept. But it seems like they all get compared to the Cimex for speed and cleaning. I just wonder why the Cimex itself hasn't been improved. Trim tons of weight. Try smaller configurations. Or speed it up a bit. Geez replace that one inch axle. And huge side bars could be shaved. Or a easy to install spray system.
I wonder if the decision to buy several 5000+ dollar OP machines to replace Cimexs is based less on performance and more on differentiating themselves from people showing up with the same yellow machine and Chemicals.
