When to replace a holed glide??

I've had my GreenGlide holed teflon glide on my PC Quadjet for a year. It still seems to work fine, however is getting a little scratched up. Also has lost a lot of its curve on the bottom and is getting somewhat flat.

you are near.

once they are truely flat, they drop in performance, at some point it will start to flex and give with each forward stroke, this will leak some air, it's simply thin and losing structural integrity, you could buy some time by securing each corner with a small bead of GOOP brand adhesive sealant.

Greenie...is there another quad jet wand out there that will work well with my Legend, but lighter than the Prochem quadjet? I looked in to the Titanium (which I really like) however, too many jets for a Legend according to the dealer.

I'm guessing you dealer thinks your machine isn't capable of handling the flow - not understanding that each have the same flow to begin with. I think he needs a little education - but if he's a good guy - keep him around. He might not know about flow, but he may know how to fix your machine.

I get 100s of cleaners that say the same thing, I don't think their distributor is ignorant, just trying to communicate that their 20hp HX machine has limits, and htey want to stay within those limits.

As for a lighter 4 jet wand than the Prochem...that's pretty easy, most all 4 jetters are lighter than that wand. But you don't want a piece of inferior technology, so start by looking at the Greenhorn 12" 4 jet to get a reference 9.45lbs (I can send you pics), and then look around at other low profile 4 jet wands and make a decision.

Rule of Thumb. If you have to ask then it's time. Order a new one from Greenie matter of fact just to be safe order 2 (it is Christmas and even Greenie needs a little Love now and then)

The 12" Greenhorn is a nice wand but everyone has chosen to go with the 14" Greenhorn. You know the saying Go Big or Go Home!

Again though just order it and be done with it. You'll be happy you did and I am sure Greenie would take it back if you didn't like it.

welp, i can dig that, but as you know the stock jetting on a Ti is 06 flow.
What's the stock jetting on a quad PC wand?
I "thought" it was the same... 4 x 1.5 = 06 flow

You are right on the money MeAt, 06 flow, I wouldn't go any larger on a Legend than maybe 08, casue the heat drop would worth the higher flow trade off...any more and he'll be unhappy with his 140º truckmount.

I've sold 12" Greenhorns with 06 flow.

it's great stuff. Right up there with Seal-All
BTW, "Goop" is a brand name sealant/adhesive for those that don't know

They make several types of Goop.
Shoe
Household
Marine
Plumbers
and plain ole Goop

don't have a clue if they're really different or just different labels to get more dough.

and....it's one of the few adhesives that will stick to Teflon, the single reason we reccomend it.

I have a 14" running 7.5 flow on my Legend and while I lost some heat, I'll take that higher flow ANYDAY thanks.

You are on the right track.

There is no problem with your flow.

The HX will actually transfer more heat to the carpet with the larger jets you now have.

The temp of the water will be lower,,,,,

but the overall heat transfered to the carpet is GREATER.
