We, the small business owner, are not a business in the GOP's eyes. Our industry as a whole is not a business. To them a business is: GM, Bechtel, Mobil, Microsoft, Boeing, Haliburton.

Thank God I'm going to China to make some money in an economy that is growing...and has undervalued currency to boot!

Yup, if Grandpa Munster wins, you'll all get your wish!

And don't go calling me a bleeding heart liberal, at one time I supported Pat Buchanan.....and still hold some very hard core libertarian views.

I'm impressed that you are following the old line of "American, love it or leave it."
Good ridence.
Hope you help China grow there f'd up nation.

And what pain is that? If you want it and are willing to work for it you can have anything you want.

Hatin' on someone because they have more then you is a terrible way to live. If you want more go get it. I work my ass off for my family and employees and their families. I don't expect the goverment to hand me a damn thing. I come from a family of 9 kids. My dad always had 3 or 4 jobs. I was worlking as soon as I was big enough to dump a trash can. I delivered papers fromt eh time I was 8-15 with my mom. We NEVER took a penny from the state in welfare even when my dad was on strike for what seemed like forver.

Now Barak Hussien O'bama wants to give more of my money to the lazy ass folks who think spittin out babies is the way to get a pay raise. Hell No.

I did not want McCain. I think he has been more of a liberal then a conservative. I wanted Fred Thompsan but we have who we have.

Now this is America and everyone has a right to their opinion but please think and let it be your opinion and not that of the Media.

It's hard for me to see how anybody can hate a person simply because he has accomplished more in his life than another. Without a moral or legal failing, having more money is not a crime. It just means he's smarter than the rest of us.

Maybe Ireland is different.

And China may be just what Chucky needs.

I hate people who do better than me in a loving and costructive manner. It just makes me try harder and not worry about the risks that I should take.
If they can do it, I can do it.

Look at Mikey, I think some might hate him a little for getting the banner ads on here. Hell, let a brutha make some monay! I hope mikey gets rich on this board and doesn't have to break his back ccing or other. He can go break his back on his expensive ass bicycle.
We should all be looking for a way to better ourselves. We can all make the place around us a better place to live.

Anyone else hear background music while I was typing? NO? Ok it was just me then.

Damn Chuck, little touchy?
My A doesn't need any f'ing thanks.

Hey as long as what you are doing is helping the U.S. economy I will admit that I was wrong for saying what I said. If not, then you sir can GFY (emphasis on the "yourself")

Anyway, I digress,
What do you think O'ftard will do to help the economy besides convincing us that it's a changin?

Trickle down economy does not work.
Unless of course you are rich. Then it works great.

There is nothing wrong with making money and being succesful. Planty wrong with the system rigged to benefit only the super rich.

Hang on to the dream of the republicans being for small business. They never have been and never will be. No health insurance , more tax on middle class and with the Bush administration even bigger government.

Do some research and un-brainwash yourselves from all the republican crap and wedge issues.

Democrats are better for the economy, better for the middle class and blue collar workers. Better period.
Unless you go for the wedge issues. "God is republican" and everybody else is a "Comunist/Socialist" blah blah blah.

Proud to be a bleeding heart liberal.

This has to make you think a little bit.

George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six the economy was fine.

A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.
4) the DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 +
5) Americans were buying new cars, taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!....

But Americans wanted 'CHANGE'! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress & yep--we got 'CHANGE' all right. In the past year…

1) Consumer confidence has plummeted ;
2) Gasoline is now over $4 a gallon & climbing!;
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);
4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION
DOLLARS & prices still dropping;
5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
6) as I write, THE DOW is probing another low~~11,100--
$2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR
STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT
PORTFOLIOS!

YEP , IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE!....AND WE SURE GOT IT!!!...NOW OBAMA, the DEM'S CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT--AND THE POLLS SAY HE'S GONNA BE 'THE MAN'--CLAIMS HE'S GONNA REALLY GIVE US CHANGE!!....JUST HOW MUCH MORE 'CHANGE' DO YA THINK YOU CAN STAND???

So who is to blame ????????????????

I have No hate for McCain in fact i admire the man for what he went through and where he has got to in life
and yes Ireland is different to here ..very
and if i did not want to better myself and want a better life for myself i would have never went and got the visa to come here and live the american dream
but that is just what it has become a dream under bush and co the country is a mess and so far in the hole it should be a crime ,owes china money that it will be repaying much longer then i,ll live and pretends that alls well and doing fine
and now you want to put a old man in the biggest job in the world with a women that is against stem cell reserch, a womans right to aboration, who thinks the war is gods war

i would prefare to see America come back to it,s glory days when the rest of the world looked at the U.S. and said i wish i was there, or what a great place to be, or what a great friend to have

neither Obama or McCain are a Kennedy or a Reagan (both of which had IRISH roots and brought the best of America to the world)

As an outsider looking in it will be sad to see another 4 years of bush bull shit...but it is your country

Well put, Chris, but dont you know it is always the president's fault? The exception to that would be if we had a democrat president and a republican congress, then it would be the other way around. Maybe what America needs is change, change us right down the toilet.

Trickle down does work. It works all too well, actually. Here in TN we have had business' leave because of taxes and local yokels fighting "big business." The state unemployement is at or a little over 7%, with many areas being around 13%. Every day I hear about more layoffs. Large and small business is laying of, business' are closing, business is going brankrupt, even what we thought were some of the most stable business' around have filed bankruptcy.

Yeah, for the love of God don't give the big guy a break so the little guy can have a job.. You can argue 'til you're blue in the face, but I see it everday here. My wife has been out of work for almost 7 months, and we know many others in the same boat.

Teets,
To be fair most of those facts can be attributed to the mortgage scandal that started way before the Dems took over.

This is just the all too common "blame the govt for everything". If you take some responsibilty for your actions and get off your ass and work smart and hard these problems would be someone elses.

I know plenty of people who are doing fine financially. I am doing well also.
It's all about keeping govt out of our pockets. Capital Gains will hender anyone who is a property owner but that will just make the best of us try harder...and do better.

Don't get me wrong. The gov't can makes things worse for people...that's why I am not voting for Obamass.
I am all for hard work and getting ahead in life, but I see no reason to make it harder on us.

Generally speaking it is the poor who vote democrat...unless you are really rich and vote democrat to make money off the poor.

Poverty Pimps...all of them.

Please don't blame Bush. You're ugly, your legs are white and skinny, your hair is red, and you talk funny.

There's no way you can make it here. :p

Wow McCain 58 Obama 9 so far. I always knew this was the board the smart people went to. :D And yes I counted the "throw away" votes towards McCain because I'm sure most or all of those are upset they don't have a choice that's more conservative/libertarian than McCain so they would never even consider Obama. Truth is ,until last night, I was in that camp myself.

I'm a little taken back at ol Chuckie.

I want nothing to do with China. I Don't want to buy anything from them, and I don't want to sell our scrap to them.

I would just assume the laws were written to promote a healthy Country, If you don't manufacture anything within your borders with your citizens staffing those jobs, you are an endentured servant.

Choose your master. I choose to be free.

Tax imports heavily, and penalize US companies who mfg. overseas. End of story, America will return to it's idustrial revolution days.
Frankly, I don't choose to be the world's babysitter.

i agree totally. We are buying from and relying on other countries too much. There should taxes on imports and Penalties for outsourcing to China or where ever. I put alot of weight into the "Made in USA" sticker.
