Most of the time #1 sometimes #2 on google .

I manage my own site.

I find it more then worthwhile to have a website.

Results are constantly changing but last I checked (yesterday)...

9 out of the first 10 results on first page in Google for #1 search term
#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #7, #8 ,#9 and #10
8 out of 10 page 2
7 out of 10 page 3
etc etc

8 out of 10 results on first page in Google for #2 search term
7 out of 10 on 2nd page
7 out of 10 on 3rd page
etc etc

8 out of 10 results on first page in Google for #3 search term
7 out of 10 on 2nd page
7 out of 10 on 3rd page
etc etc

You have to search hard to find someone that isn't us ;) All other cleaners in our service area HAVE to use PPC to even be seen on the first several pages of results.
*Several of the results that are not us, are our (friendly) competitors which Andrechelle has also built websites for.

SEARCH ENGINE DOMINATION!

The Internet is the ONLY advertising we do for our carpet cleaning company. It works well and is getting better all the time.

Estimated service area population
51,593 in #1 target area
95,676 in #2 target area
17,503 in #3 target area

Approx
300,000 in our main service areas
232,892 in main service county
95,676 in secondary (rural) area (we focus on only eastern half of this area)
Our extended service area includes a large metropolitan area (Cleveland), but we dont go that far very often. Est 1 million? (and shrinking) in Cleveland.

Andrechelle.com is your Search Engine Domination specialist!

If you have an aggressive marketer in your area, you too have to be aggressive but I would not recommend copying his practices if you feel they are questionable.

my site is optimized but still doesn't rank very well, competition very high

one day you are on the front page getting phone calls the next week you are just one of the pack on the 3rd or 4th page

so I ask myself is it really worth it because it seems like 3 out of 5 are price shoppers wanting a quote

In my mind I keep going back to someting I read once. The money isn't in carpet cleaning, the money is in marketing to carpet cleaners. Maybe it is just easier money.

do I really need the pop up when I click on this thread

better stop now :|

Steve your site is nice but seems to lack content and keyword saturation. Checkout MountainView......

Also lacks web presence.....and most of the internal links point to the same page.....

I have looked/searched, would like to to rank better but like I said, not sure if it is worth it

I asked for a basic web site so that is what I got. I think about switching web companies but I am sure I won't find a better deal then what I am paying

like I said
better stop now :|

I'm tellin you guys, go with a big name company to do your ad and website. They list you higher because of it.
No, I don't know how it works but I am learning.

I am also talking to a company that brings you to the top more often.

so some of you don't get the wrong idea

Due to my own cheapness, "I stated that I am not sure if it is worth it" I mean spending a bunch of money to have a high contant web site in a competive market. Spending additional monies on updates, domain names, additional sites, etc to keep a high ranking to continue to wade through the price shoppers. I wonder if the internet is really just the new phone book.

It seems like everyone wants your money, phone book, CC billing companies, postcard mailing services, angie's list, value pak, etc, the list just goes on and on. So as a cleaner you have to do something to generate businees, pick and choose what you want to buy for advertising/business promotion.

I asked for a basic web presence and that is what I have bought and paid for. Would I like it to be the best ranking site, sure. Am I will to pay the price, really don't know if it worth the price

I am sure many of you have bought a cleaning chemical that didn't perform well and it now sits on the shelf in your garage unused, money down the drain. That is kind of my thinking on a web site at the moment

My comments should in no way be reflected on Andrechelle, the person that built/manages my web site. She has done many things for really no additional costs to help my site perform better but as I stated before I am not really sure it is worth the costs to keep it up there.
