Where is the best place to stay in Vegas for Connections?

At the moment I am booked at the Hilton because it's close. If I am going to change this I need to get moving.

You guys that have done this before what do you recommend? And how do you get over to the convention? Any advice would be much appreciated as I've never been to Vegas before.

Also where is the best place to gamble? I intend to win a fortune!

Nothing wrong with stayingat the Hilton. If hadn't got 3 nights free and $300 bucks from the Wynn I would have just stayed at the Hilton. It's nice not having to travel back and forth and saving 50 bucks a night someplace else's isn't really worth the time and money going back and forth. That's my opinion

after 6 or so year I'm just fed up with the place.

It will be nice to be right in the heart of it all for once.

IF I were going to all the infomercials I would certainly stay at the Hilton.

When I went there I stayed at the Somerset. Just a simple hotel off the strip, clean rooms, nothing fancy, 5 min walk across the parking lot to the Hilton, 5-10min to the strip, about 45-50/night
If you can get 36 at Baleys, be a better deal, take the monorail to the Hilton

The Hilton is a nice hotel. Nice, comfortable rooms and it is nice to be close to the convention. It is off the strip and not the newest and most spectacular but certainly on par with nice hotels in other cities. I always get a room there for convenience sake (hard to beat the price) and get a comp room at a newer hotel for a change of pace. This year is it is the Wynn, last year the Venetian.

Ok, I am really up in the air and I only have to today to cancel at Hilton if that's what I decide.

At the Hilton I upgraded to the resort club non smoking room. It's a renovated room and includes some simple snacks and the health club facility. I have to use the weight room at least 2 of the days I will be there so I would like that option included. Right now I am paying $139 a night. But for $39 I can stay a few nights at Bally's.

How do you guys get these comps? I want some comps... :) At this rate I just know I am going to be the stupid guy with the flower shirt walking around losing all my money.
