Older than 40, White and from the mid-west, it’s a crime not to wear white New Balance..

get closer to the van when you toss them in.
and don't yank them out from the under the pile of hoses or gear n rubble

seriously, what I've noted is some plastic is more brittle/prone to break than others.
Specific to Shark, it's the canister clips have been the fail point on the half dozen+ I've owned and abused over the years.
Roll brush motor failed in two of 'em


I still think you guys are idiots for buying anything but an upright with by-pass motor and hose for attachments.

AANNDUH....Sani/kirby/royal styles...sand blasting a plastic or pot metal fan and belt isn't conducive to long term performance
or vaccing pennies and marbles either

I have a Shark on the van, because I just knew this place was in the know🙄 You can buy a Pro Team on Amazon for $352. That vac will stand up on the truck and the dual motor and wand works well for a pro.

We used Bissel pf's for years. The quirkiest thing about them is how you can totally rebuild a 70 buck vacuum. Belts, brushrolls, filters and lots of other bits and pieces available through bissel.com
At one point I felt I was running a Bissel rescue shop, found one in a ditch, one in a garbage pile. Had red ones, green ones, purple ones, blue ones, took them home, rebuilt and they ran like a charm. If they were quieter I'd still use them, with hearing loss they got annoyingly loud even with new brushrolls (yeah I know, makes no sense) One of the most aggressive beater bars on the market and loose loop style tufts wouldn't get tangled in the beater bar. They served us well. Currently a Shark guy, the new ones are lasting us a lot longer than the early builds.

I switched to Merril Nova 2. As I've aged I think my left foot has gotten wider from the constant rocking while cleaning carpet and I've had the hardest time finding the right size. I also found a pair of New Balance that is fairly comfy after a week break in.

The Proteams look nice.

proteams are tough, but the beater bar isn't aggressive enough to vibrate the sand to the surface, due to the vacuum motor not adding any weight to the head of the vacuum, and the bags are too small, and they are kinda heavy, but lighter than an anchor kirby. After beating up 2 of them, I've had my fun with proteam. Just give me a sanitaire.
