how often whould you clean it?Do you do it the same way you clean the butler using soapy water or a degreaser?

what did i say...clear water!
There ain't no GREASE inside the case!

clear water slo stream to start...then increase stream.....rinse till blowout is clear of soap..then run to dry..about 45 sec......
then WD

soap is the enemy of blowers

You don't have to do anything to them if you don't want. Just make sure to pump some grease in the two fittings once a month when you change the oil in your van engine. I used to run soapy water through my old Pro1200 and it has 12000 hours on it's second blower. My new ('03 1200) has 5800 hours on it and I have sprayed WD 40 into the blower lube port a few times over the years, but not very often.

i buy my WD40 in gal cans...i put it in a trigger sprayer and shoot three or four shots...
straight into the blower while running!

20 seconds of WD will make you feel like its a vortex... untill you need to spray WD in it again!

Soap is not the ONLY enemy of your blower :!: :!:

Actually there should be NO SOAP built-up in your blower :shock: :shock:
Soap residue can only get in the blower if the Waste Tank is full & shuts down unit :!:
Or your are cleaning a job that is FULL OF SOAP...Then you need a DEFOAMER.......

BaWB...Has NEVER seen the inside of his waste tank ..They should be cleaned
EVERY DAY..IMO...

If you DON'T do proper maintaince on your W-Tank....Moisture from the tank migrates
into your blower & causes SURFACE RUST....That is why blower can SEIZE if they have
sat for long periods of time

OIL & WATER don't mix....Soooo as we spray WD 40 in our blowers day after day It ...
BUILTS -UP .....collecting all the dust & pollutants ect...."ever dry-vac with your unit"
WELL .......If the tank is empty all the lint & dust goes through the blower!
"Blowers don't have HEPA filters."


My point is ..You need a DETERGENT to Cut through the GUNK that builds-up & COOKS inside the BLOWER :!: :!: :!:

BaWb the "GOOBER"... is correct about FLUSHING the with clean WATER :!: ......

the soap is ALREADY there...
you jus need ta flush it out....
and believe me...unless yor unit sits for several weeks at a time the "dust" does no harm..

HOWEVER..yor right about not seeing in my waste tank...WHY clean it..its jus gonna get dirty again?

I have had Blower a "Lock-UP" over a Holiday Weekend..here in FL....HuMeDiTtIe :idea:

I Had one of my "FoRmEr" employees .. Go into a re-modle job & SUCK-UP
about 25lbs of "DrYWaLl-DuSt" with a empty tank :shock: :shock: :shock:

Then called the OFFice...Complaining that he had PoOr VaC....

Pulled the lid on tank..." :shock: :shock: "BUTLER" and the filter screen was MUD....

DO YOU THINK ANY dust WENT THROUGH THE BLOWER :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

This genuis put the in-line filter on .....AFTER his sucked-up the DRYWALL :roll: "BriLLiAnT"

The pavement under the exhaust-silencer "looked like TONY MOnTaNo'S DESK :shock: "
