Does anyone have side by side experience with the whittaker 20' and brush pro 18" machines. I own a Whittaker. I liked the idea of the larger on board solution tank and the integrated catch tray that does not extend off the machine. After a couple seasons of using it, I have noticed that the Brushes break in quickly and lose their bite on the carpet. I am also kind of disappointed with the lack of solution application and lack of spray width across the brushes. I like the machine itself, however it seems less durable, especially with constant transportation, than my 10" brush machine. Mind you, this machine is used in specific situations that are perfect for Crb work vs extraction or Op machine.

The 2o" Whitaker machines are manufactured by Rotowash. These are the genuine Austria-made TM5 machines (not the Chinese knock-off imitations). The machines are terrifically well built and hold up very well. In fact they're the same 20" machines that we sell from Austria – branded as BrushEncap. https://excellent-supply.com/produc...er-rotating-brush-carpet-cleaning-machine-tm5

BrushPro machines are also manufactured by Rotowash in Austria. Again, it's an excellent machine! We also sell the same 18" machine from Austria branded as BrushMaster. https://excellent-supply.com/products/brushmaster-pro45-18-inch-crb

So how do these 2 machines compare? The primary difference is the sealed motor of the BrushPro / BrushMaster machines. By compariosn, the lower priced TM5 model does not have a sealed motor. In most instances, that's not going to be a big deal for typical carpet cleaning applications. However, if you are working on wet floors, there is some benefit to having the sealed motor. Aside from that, they will perform similarly on the carpet.

I like it a lot. Makes sense to be able to activate your solution on the fly, as you're scrubbing. Gives you the option to add a touch more juice where/when needed. You will also have better control to apply an even amount of solution, which is critical for good encap cleaning. One of the big problems with spraying down the solution with a separate sprayer is that it's nearly impossible to maintain even coverage of your encap solution. Some areas will begin to dry up a little, other areas may be a bit wetter – it's a train-wreck. For optimum results, you NEED to have consistency with your application of the encap juice, and an onboard sprayer really helps with that.

The BEST CRB is the BrushMaster Pro that Excellent Supply sells. It's heavier and built like tank. The added weight helps it scrub and clean better

I have the 14'' BrushMaster Pro 35

It cost more but worth every penny
