Who uses a half ton van?

there normally isn't much difference between a 250 and a 350 van or 1 ton van. normally the only difference with the 1 ton is the rear springs likely will be beefier and have an overload spring. the 3/4 ton should have the same brakes and heavy duty tires as the one ton.

On Fords they're same brakes and drive train .
the biggest difference are one ton's have a heavier frame due to the options to add boxes and dual rear wheels .


if i understand right, '09 (?) and up Ford half tons have much greater GVW than previously.
They went to 16" 8 lug wheels (I'm ASSuming the brakes are larger too)
and now have a 8400 GVW..more than enough for the average CC'ing van that doesn't carry 100+ gallons or fresh water

I've never had a 1/2 ton CC'ing van..so i really don't know .
But do know with the load we carry, it would be over gross for sure if less than 8400 GVW

not sure if they're the same as a standard 1 ton
and don't feel like searching parts stores applications ...

Wow, you're right Larry. Here are the part numbers for rotors on 2010 Ford E series front and rear for single wheel rear 1 tons.
