He had a carpet cleaning company but the name/franchises didn't exist until the 70s.

I understand that …. And there is no deception in how Jack began, evolved during the timeline on Stanley’s website
he started his company in 1947 and it’s grown spectacularly since then
many companies come from humble beginnings like Apple, Amazon etc
