I see guys doing everything they humanly can to save particles when they are wet...I would like to know why save it?
95% of the time adjusters tell us to tear out carpet, flooring, walls, etc etc (even on cat 1's)...perhaps 1-5% will ask to "dry it out".
I can't remember the last time we did top down drying, we do them, but either the homeowner wants the carpet/pad out, and or the adjuster tells us to yank it out. (Why would we say no? We get payed more $ to do this in the first place).
I would like to know if saving it justifies the lower bill out amount on xactimate in order to receive more jobs from adjusters/preferred vendor programs? That's the only way I can see it on a business purpose.
