ethically, it’s wrong. Those kids roll all over that carpet. And they crap and piss on it too. It NEEDS HWE. I don’t care if they want it cheaper. VLM shouldn’t be an option.

On my daily commercial side I had a day care center, vacuum, mop, bathrooms
did it 3 yrs, they never got carpets cleaned by any method.
Place stunk, they'd just shake n vac themselves once a week

Lucky if they do it once or twice a year. The one's I've seen they don't ever vacuum but use brooms to sweep up the debris. Takes far too much effort for them to push a vacuum and do the whole place.
