One of my customers had a leaky roof and the cabinet that was on the carpet left this spot. I'm thinking of encaping? Any other ideas? Here's the picture she sent me.

I'd flush it then stain magic and cover with saran wrap and a weighted object to keep the air out. Stain should be gone next day.

What is a blended solvent?

After second look I would try a rust remover on a small spot too.

furniture stains are the one that we find to be permanent or a patch needed.. I guess it depends on the varnish/stain used though

Since we don't know about the wood stain or finish, we can't say this solvent or that solvent will work. A blended solvent has a blend of several solvents. One is more likely to work. An example would be Bridgepoint's All Solv Xtreme which is a blend of 8 different solvents.

I'll give it a try Scott. I carry All Solv Extreme and Stain Magic.

Nick, I hope you drive a train better than your carpet stain problem solving thoughts......:icon_razz::lol:

most furniture stains are difficult at best,
The majority of them can only be removed completely with a knife

that stain in the pic looks like a great place to put a cabinet ...over the wood stain that will more than likely remain :winky:

furniture/wood stain reality 101

Consider them as permanent , and explain the unfortunate reality to the custy
Don't even suggest you can "improve" them ..even a little , cause you most likely can't

any that will respond to latest/greatest wonder spot juices, will more than likely respond to the Gels, fels, juices most carry

seriously, Nick
figure from the get-go that furniture stains are permanent ...cause 94.279% are
Proceed with caution with wonder juices in an attempt to improve them, but don't make any promises to the custy

And often, when trying to be a hero, the aggressive efforts cause discoloration of their own.
