Hey Everyone,
While I was cleaning wool stairs yesterday, there was fiber loss on the edge where the face meets the tread. Pretty significant - about an inch wide, on several stairs. It exposed the backing. It wasn’t immediately noticeable since it was dark. You can pluck at the fibers and pull them out. Oddly not on the tread, just in the areas with no traffic.
Safe cleaners were used. Not over wetted. No peroxide. Doesn’t get direct sunl
Dry rot? Bugs? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Walt
