3 days we haven’t been able to get in to find out about my Mother in laws home off of Mulholland and Troutdale, near the Peter Straus ranch.
Wife and Daughter went down and check it out today even though it’s only 10% contained.
Met my Mother in Law and Her Boy Friend, only to find all roads closed.
My wife’s sister has a hay and feed store on Agoura rd that was spared from the fire.
While they were there cleaning up a local came by and bought some food for his animals. He came from the burn area that was closed off, he told my family how to get past the blockade.
Well they made it to the bridge on Mulholand and troutdale and it was melted.
So a 1/4 mile on foot to house from there.
First house on Careful was intact, the next 6 burned to the ground, my Mother in laws the last house on the street hidden by trees.
As they approached they figured all hope was lost at this point.
You have to go down a steep drive away and the house is hidden behind trees.
My Daughter Kayla was the first to see it still standing!
My mother in-law has lived there for 42 years.
We are counting are blessing knowing a lot of people weren’t as fortunate.
