Those of you that live and work in areas where a large concentration of very famous people live: do you ever ask for their public referral? Or do you ask if you could use their name in any way?

I have many of those customers that I'm pretty confident saying most all of you would know. (I will NOT say names so don't even ask. Politicians, artists, athletes etc.)

I have not asked for it yet. But been offered by one NBA player -for example- that he could tweet about me and the service. I declined since I'm not an active Twitter user.

What would you offer to people like these that are world famous folks? A free cleaning?? They get millions of dollars for endorsement deals...I would feel like an idiot offering a 500 dollar cleaning deal..

Unless youre hiring them to do an ad for you, Id give the same as anyone else would get which is typically 10% referral reward. Shouldnt be any different. They wont be wearing your uniform in public. Its not the same. Not endorsing -just passing your name along.

Just tell 'em to mention you to 500 of their closest friends.

Oh, yeah; don't sign autographs, they'll only sell them on Ebay.

More famous than me? ;)

Seriously Zee, I wouldn't ask them. However they offer that's different. Show true appreciation but no free cleaning. How about some high end brownies or fancy pastry. ???

Bit tacky to ask them; think they would value discretion.
We will sometimes drop a name in conversation with a potential client, especially one who is in the same field.

Perhaps my wording wasn't right.... I'm not asking about referrals as in hey can you call your buddies for me? I guess I'm trying to see what would you guys offer for reviews that would be signed by them.

"Mr freak face from steam clean company did an awesome job on my whatever.. Don't hesitate to call him. Signed Mr NBA"

I deal with a lot of wealthy people and I don't treat them any different than anyone else. I act like I don't know they are "Somebody". THat way we can be friends.
