Yelp shoppers- Priceless!

Just got this email from the latest new and dedicated Yelp shoppers. Priceless. Probably went to each and every company on Yelp. You got to love them.

What would your response be?

I have a small 3 foot by 6 foot dusty area that needs to be cleaned. It was hidden under some furniture before, but I just moved the furniture and would like the area beneath it cleaned.

However, this was more of a rant than an actual advise seeking thread.

I do do as you suggested and ......99.9999% of the time I never hear from them again.

I must be shooting for the 0.0001%. But, there goes another rant

Same here....I've had dozens and dozens of requests for quotes. All lacking enough info to even begin trying to figure out a price for them, which I never would do over the internet. Of all those dozens of Yelp requests I've had ONE get back to me and actually turn into a job.

I always respond back to their request with the following:

Hi , Thanks for contacting Quick Dry Carpet Cleaning-Inland Empire. I fully realize that you would like me to just respond back with a price, but I can't. It's because I don't play games with my customers like quoting a really cheap price over the phone to get you to book a cleaning and then when I get there nickel and diming every spot or stain to get the price to be raised dramatically. I pride myself on giving ACCURATE quotes to my customers, and I can only do that by asking you a few questions first before I give you my price. Please call me at 951-805-2909. I'll answer any questions you have, I'll ask you a few questions, get you a price and if you like it, we'll schedule your cleaning.
