I do do as you suggested and ......99.9999% of the time I never hear from them again.
Same here....I've had dozens and dozens of requests for quotes. All lacking enough info to even begin trying to figure out a price for them, which I never would do over the internet. Of all those dozens of Yelp requests I've had ONE get back to me and actually turn into a job.
I always respond back to their request with the following:
Hi , Thanks for contacting Quick Dry Carpet Cleaning-Inland Empire. I fully realize that you would like me to just respond back with a price, but I can't. It's because I don't play games with my customers like quoting a really cheap price over the phone to get you to book a cleaning and then when I get there nickel and diming every spot or stain to get the price to be raised dramatically. I pride myself on giving ACCURATE quotes to my customers, and I can only do that by asking you a few questions first before I give you my price. Please call me at 951-805-2909. I'll answer any questions you have, I'll ask you a few questions, get you a price and if you like it, we'll schedule your cleaning.
