Got my SDN today.

Can't wait 'til my next repair job next week, all going well.

Bit of a bugger though, having to share my 240/110 volt converter with my Kool Glide until a seperate converter arrives from down south.

Many thanks to Tony, Steve and Harry for the info over the years and helping an old fart along.

Ooroo,

Shortestwun.

Of all our carpeting tools.. and our store just about owns atleast once of everything.. that is one tool we just havne't invested in. I understand the benefits of tacking a pattern match and getting it ready for a stretch to re-aline the pattern and on concrete it would save alot of time. I havn't used the Koolglide for many working seams during new installs. ( I also don't want our other installers seeing we have one either. ... its my toy.. err tool). I'd imagine the SDN would be pretty helpful in getting the koolglide adhesive to suck into the carpet backing better than a standar seam weight.

Now you may not believe this, but in my town (it's about 165,000 people stretched over as corridor 120 miles north to south and about five miles wide), we have only one supplier for carpet laying tools.

This is a national franchise.

Some time back, I phoned asking about "carpet seam weights".

"Nah mate, we have seam stretchers, both small and large but no weights, what do they do and what do they look like"?

Probably like livin' in Alabama, eh.??

I like to look after all my MME's  Money Making Equipment.............

Here's the non slip box I keep it in.

The other two case hold my on the road camera, and my wireless epos machine.

One of my pops installers said he other installer friend suggested to have a outlet on the SDN to plug your iron into. He said they were going to do it. I think that would be a really good feature to add. Shorty, did yours come with the an outlet to plug you iron into or do you need to run 2 cords?

Hi Nate,
can't see the point in that mate, Delia does all my ironing, also the cooking and washing.

She only be kicking her toe on it all the time.

We have these collapsible tables that we call ironing boards, she can do the ironing while watching telly.

You guys have some strange ideas over there.

A hui hou,

Shortestwun.

PS ::: Oh-oh, do you mean a carpet iron. ?

I don't have a carpet iron, just the Kool Glide and some glue guns.

The SDN doesn't have another plug as you speak about.

So I'm stuck with two leads and two converters, but that's no problem.

Take care mate. shiteatinggrin

I feel so honored, I got a private message from the pigfarmer his own damn self.

This is the second one from his emminence.

The first was like a bolt out of the blue to thank me for supplying a country gents number that lives up in Atlanta.

Now I have my very own KMA. shiteatinggrin Just for me and no-one else.

I'm going to print it out and frame it.

I knew that under that hard shell of an exterior, there was a soft mound of

heart.

Ta Marty.
