I second the Big Boy Wheels, we bought a new machine earlier this year with them and I immediately ordered another set to upgrade one of our other units.

We have 4 with the big boy wheels and 4 without. I'd like to eventually upgrade to the point where I go to help on big projects that I Don't get stuck with the small wheels. :errf:

It is so nice to see them send out the first four and see them all with the big boys. Eventually we will get them all replaced. :winky:

Big Boy wheels are the way to go.

The standard wheels can easily get caught under the bullnose on steps.

My Bigger Wheels  are different in that they are indeed larger than Rick's Big Wheel Kit, (10"), also mine are pneumatic, ( pump-ups for those down south ). :winky:

Some say mine are too big, whatever floats your boat, they are ideal for me.

This makes them ( for me ), easier to take up & down stairs when I have to, as the air acts as a shock absorber for both Big Yella & I.

The stock/standard wheels are hard, Big Wheels are semi pneumatic, like the wheels on a dehumidifier if you like.

This will give you an idea, mine are 12 & 1/4" .

Squirting jiggler and pad assortment always before a Cimex.

Cimex last.

Multi-dimensional machine before a one-dimensional machine.

It's the most logical progression.

A multi-dimensional Oreck Jiggler that is.

I think of you every time I pull it out..............In more ways than one...........

Pleasant thought of cherries got me through scrubbing 3 flights of stairs today.

or a 175. Depends on the volume yer really gonna use it on. Take more then a couple commercial accounts (and their size) to justify leaving behind a 175 (and it's so cheap to purchase) and its versatility. When you do move up I suggest asking yourself do you ever have to wiggle a pad or are you just encapping and running. Encap-n-dash I'd lean towards a Cimex.

Well.... I'm finally home.4 1/2 hr. drive each way. Got a 19" Cimex, 3 cases of Releasit DS2, 4 boxes of different pads, a box of 8" bonnets, and the concrete kit. Took the wife to an oceanfront restaurant, and enjoyed a 2 1/2 hr meal..... AND, managed to pick all of it up for 1350$..... the machine looks barely used.....

I would choose an orbot because, from what I have been told by carpet manufacturers, Oscillating pad machines will not void warranties and rotaries such as cimex will.

Which carpet manufacturer told you that?

I have heard it said but had not heard an OP was ok. We own both but in my opinion the OP is the most aggressive machine.

The Cimex is "Planetary", so I would be interested to see if that is considered in the "rotary" group.
