OMG, this thread is what someone told the newby this week. This place is half knowledge and half entertainment!!! Then the first half were comedians then turned to mechanics on a dime:icon_razz::icon_razz::icon_razz::icon_razz::icon_razz: What’s a “V”

"V" STANDS for vortex, and was the predecessor to the "AT". Here' a link:

I haven't been up to date about Christine...

Is this her third tranny?

What's the rundown on the short but tumultuous life of her @Mark

My local dealership sucks!

Been sitting there and on 6th payment.

Butler has calls into GM big wigs.

I got so pissed yesterday couldn't sleep.

Local dealer is about to get hammered on social media by me.

Been pretty patient but money and patience done!

GM had some big meetings past few days so nothing returned for calls but I have busted the local dealership in 2 lies and this last time I through them under the bus.

Monday heads are about to roll.

I am freaking pissed off now!

There could be a blood bath

My dealership has all kinds of excuses not to work on it to figure it out and saying region rep coming in on the 22nd of this month... So it's sitting there yet..

Union shop and no one wants to work on it.

Monday... It could be epic pissed off Saiger day!

What's the possibility of holding off on making any more payments until the van is fixed? Is it a bank that gm has arranged for your financing, or one of your personal banks?

Leased the unit...but also put a lot of cash down (as my wife wanted to do) to keep a lower payment....

So could lose all that also....and our really strong credit rating....

So not an option unless the lease company wants it back...which would send it back to Butler I imagine....

So, at this time, as has been happening....kind of held hostage by GM...and especially because of our local crappy dealership!

Don't forget the custom wrap expense and all the custom graffiti on the dash, rims and tires, and video camera mounts. Mark has a lot into this van Matt. It isn't as simple as just getting a replacement and saying thank you. He's also out 6 payments. There is a lot of collateral damage here if the van can't be fixed. Plus the dealer has now been caught in 2 lies, which seems to me would up the liability on their part. What a mess!

I feel for you Mark. I would be throwing tools about now. My Amtex offer stands.

My wife is really pissed....and then of course we are feeding off each other and saying to each other what needs to be said to GM Monday.

She also just brought up (as I have already been thinking about) what if that van goes down or is in an accident that we cannot use it...

We are then completely out of business!

What a $hit $how.....

It's hard to even relax today with all of this on our plate :(

Take notes and have a script ready. Don't forget to lay everything out. When I get pissed my brain boils and I only see red, forgetting key points. Make sure you are clear on everything for the meeting.

How far is the next city with a GM dealer? May be worth driving a ways if they are more competent than yours, and from what you've said they almost would have to be.

We had a close call last night. My brother texted me and asked about a missing truck in one of the garage stalls. He was locking up and noticed one was missing.

I told him they were to pick it up from the distributor, unless there was a problem that it wasn’t ready. He calls me back in 10 minutes and said it had brake lights stuck on and they took it next door to our mechanics.

The only problem was is our box trucks don’t fit in their garage. If it was still over there it would be outside and it was getting down to single digits last night. Worse it was 5:30 pm and they close at 5:00 pm.

I called they were gone already, only had voice mail picked up. I’m think 4-5 grand of damage and maybe I should just go cut their lock and pull our truck out. I could put a lock on it until morning and explain why I had to cut theirs.

Then my brother calls and says they brought the truck back to us, parked it in our North lot and brought the keys to the office. The keys were on the counter and one of the tech’s asked why they were there. He was told the truck was next door but they finished it and parked it. The tech then just hung up the keys.

So I drive back (25-minutes) from home to move a truck from the lot to the garage. I wasn’t thrilled with the trip but much happier than sitting there knowing my truck was outside freezing solid.

Great customer service nearly cost us big time! :errf:

Even worse, the guy might have needed to replace his lock :)

It's not rocket science, just mechanical. I think I would take it to a competent indy shop and get it fixed otherwise this is going drag out for a long time yet.
