I actually got some new valves from my Minneapolis Distributor that had red handle and rated for 1000 psi...

They actually started leaking in a week also and wouldn't shut off properly....

BUT the worst part, I discovered using the Zipper SS Super Spinner using one of them, it started to choke off and restrict the flow....and I was getting less than 500 psi at the Zipper even though the TM was at 1000 psi....

One of the spinners was just barely spinning....Took me a little time to figure out, but by luck, we had both trucks set up, so I hooked up to the other Butler and sure enough...the only thing I had changed the day before was the shut off and soon as I replaced it, we were back running correctly....

I would have had no clue what was up except for being lucky to kind of retrace thing done in past day with the TM....;

How about 7000 psi. I would love more of these Gemel valves. Everything else I've e tried is not even close

Well I had some time to dig out the valve with the failed handle. It is not branded with Wanders.

I had only bought 2 a few years ago when the BF tough was being spoken so these that I have are possibly different.

My guys used their a couple years ago and I remember them telling me about the handle falling off right away so I guess I never took time to try the one I had until few weeks ago.

Took some pics.

The pics of the red handle unit with 1000 psi on it lasted about a day.

You will have to let me know how yours holds up @Mikey P

I like Joe's stuff. But I did get a couple of those valves a while back and they didn't last long at all for me.

I looked on Larry's web site but didn't see the ball valve shown in the picture. Is it there and I just missed it?

Really. The one he is showing in this thread has flat gull wing (sorry, can't think of a better analogy) handles and yellow plastic covers on each end of the handles.

That ball valve is not on the cart.
Billy Lewis has been using some on a 2000PSI application.

I like the $4 1/4in ball valves from home depot. Made in Italy and they out last any of the industry specific ones I've used.

You can just replace the handle with a smaller one or cut part of it off make it shorter then put the rubber sleeve back on.

So cheap it's easy to keep 4-5 on hand

ball valves have never been an issue for us .
The cheap ones last as long as the hi-priced ones.

Mater of fact, I've had more trouble with these ones by Dwyer than the cheap ones

I'll say though, we rarely ran PSI higher than 600 and never did tile 'n grout
Maybe that's why I don't understand all the fuss with many of the cowboys here??:headscratch:
