We cleaned this Travertine exactly a year ago today

In a casino as part of a bar and restaurant right in the heaviest of traffic lanes as guest.

They are flat mopping with the non contamination system.

I ran the Cimex with Magic Eraser pads over a test area today and while the pads did absorb a decent amount of soil, there was almost no visible difference.

Not to knock you off your hi horse there.

You use a pad to clean the only part of that floor that is hard to get heavily soiled- polished Trav.

Unless there a residue build- which to your credit was your best "sealer"- teaching proper maintenance

Cobb is good for dense surfaces. There are better options for absorbent

Look at that grout...

Apparently Cobb's works just fine.

I've seen it's results over and over again for over 8 years now

If anything, I would say polished stone would be better off with a smaller molecule formula.

Marie Cobb probably saw you order come in and said fook this guy...

Most of my Cobb orders take a week to two weeks to show up. Larry is no Olson or Jon Don when it comes to speedy shipping, but he never pretends to be.

PLAN AHEAD.

If you call they waive shipping costs on larger orders, if you order online you get a $69 shipping charge always.

I ordered online on a Saturday night. I need some ultraseal for a job I'm gonna flat mop.

She bumped up a week early, so I panicked.

Called that monday, told them I need it before Friday if possible.

They usually ship frieght. That takes longer.

They ended up sending it UPS. I got it Thursday. Lady got called into jury duty on Thursday only to reset for next month.

Still Cobbs hooked me up.

You might have gotten better results using aggressive rotary brush on a 175 not them three little piggy pad machines. IMO of course.

Mikey;

What does the Non-contamination system consist of ?

Is it separate Neutral pH Wash, & Rinse solutions with a wringer ?

That grout shows that good maintenance techniques + Solvent Fluorochemical sealing,

can keep the grout looking good for a full year.

Not easy with that type of tumbled stone grout.

anyone who follows these suggestions will see a HUGE difference compared to string or sponge mopping.

My last Cobb's order came via truck 3 days. Surprised it was that fast.

The one time they made a mistake with my order, shipped wrong product. They told me to keep the product and reshipped the correct item out right away.

Usually, UPS orders get here in under a week.

I "tested" Ultraseal and flat mop application in my own house before offering it to customers. 2 years later and the grout lines still look good.

Cobb's Solvent protector is the best performing protector I've used. It is super easy to apply, I use a no. 1 tip and spray down. It spreads much better than water based products, meaning on carpets that don't show foot prints I don't have to rake it in. The formula is the same for Carpet and Tile (so I've been told), I only carry the one for carpet and use it also on tile.

There are two versions, Ultraseal and Solvent Protector. The Solvent Protector has approx 60% of the flourochemical that Ultraseal has. They both say 1 gallon covers 1000 sqft. I order the plain Solvent Protector and spray heavier if I want additional protection to equal Ultraseal.

Case of 4 are shipped free on all their protectors. So I get a case of awesome protector for $88 dollars, thats a crazy value!

What other sealers do you recommend for absorbance?

Mikey turn me on to Cobbs on the tile in the hotel in Saint Pete's . Very impressed with it's application with a microfiber mop. Bonus if you Get it on the carpet that's protected too. I'll be ordering Cobbs very soon.

Ditto. I've avoided sealer because applying it is a ripe and royal pain in the princely patootie.

Priced a job today to include it, no option to not have it sealed.
