Up and over a few mountain ranges to get to the famous Virginia City. We started a few doors down from Jim Eckman's home in Washoe valley and proceeded eastward on dirt trails like this..

Coming down this snow covered path had me really enjoying my long legs, for once..

The two shorter guys with me were biffing it on the ice every few feet. I just put both pontoon boats down and skied my bike all the way down..

That is Reno off in the distance..

and that is Virginia City, home to the Comstock Load..

and that Jim's hood off to the very right..

I have found my resting place...

No snowpack, is that normal at that elevation this time of year? Looks like great bike country..
