Backup is a wonderful thing. I try to keep one extra of everything ready to go.

Once with the Ford vans we dropped two transmissions in two weeks. Jason's went first and then mine quit as I was taking the crate with the new one to the mechanic to install (busy season or we'd have done it). Had the wrecker on speed dial.

Rebuilt ford transmissions were about $700, hate to think UD....

My 06 van had been sitting all week as I've been using the new van getting everything just right.

Went to move the 06, battery completely dead, not even enough power for the keyless entry. I suspected it was getting weak.
$140.00 for a new battery.

But really, I'm sure $140 to me is like a new tranny to you in wallet damage.
