I do like the idea of constant water supply/apo. You can't do the bucket brigade on this one even if you wanted to!
For nearly 5 large I want chem metering....
A real 2hp motor draws nearly 20A, so that's one whole cord for the pump. That means both vacs and the APO are on the other cord. Wonder what vacs he uses?

Not to mention the heater plugs into the control box... So it must not use all the amps or another cord is required...

Then add in the inline heater, how do you supply that much power? And does the one being auctioned come with heat?

I like the idea of the unit....for certain circumstances where you have constant water in and water out possibilities.. BUT it would always bug me that those vac motors are so crammed in to such a small space. Premature failure can be expected from them cooking each other out.

Amp draw? The 2000 watt heater, as previously noted, is around 17 amps and can't keep up with decent flow, pump is at least 15, can't guess what the vacs are or the pump - out draw. Any rinse injection? Weight?

We didn't get to try the heater but we only had limited power outside at the experience and it had not power issues. It ran for almost 4 hours without an issue that I knew of and most who tried it liked the performance and overall setup of the unit that we were demoing.

Most portables have there vac motors crammed together it has to be a plus that these are not confined in a plastic shell and therefore will have less heat maybe affecting them.

Willy should get one of these and put it through its paces as I will defer to him as he uses portables daily.

I think we are all seeing the same things..

You simply can NOT build a good portable without too much power requirement.

I'ts nice... Kind of like a Namco Scooter- with no scooter...

Check your CFM #s'... last time I did an Electro, two 3 stage (10A) in series topped out at 95-105 CFM (No Load)

I could go on, but no free R&D...

I'd like to have a decent portable just because but I'm not sure about this one. I think the big pump is just overkill and I think I'd want to have a fresh and waist tank for those small jobs as well as auto fill/dump. I would also want chemical injection on a porty with no fresh tank to mix.

Please tell the audience about your history in the carpet cleaning industry

I started cleaning HUD houses in Denver 17 years ago. There was a shop in Commerce City that sold & fixed all things surface cleaning. I think I tried every Porty.
I cleaned some restaurants at night and hotel/motels during the day. 10 years ago I got the idea to make a machine I enjoyed using. Today I use my machines to clean carpet, upholstery, stone/tile in condo, high-rises, hotels, homes and commercial, floods too. Several dominant hotels lease different Dwell Pro machines. I train their associates to clean their own hotel with my equipment.

What circumstances led you to make your own "Porty"

I was tired of working like a slave.

Does your company offer any sort of VLM cleaning?
No, I had to look that up to know what it is. I used a Carpetron Dry foam scrubber less than 14 years ago I am ashamed to say. I don't understand the concept of not washing carpets.

Tell us about your lease program for hotels
Hotels lease the Dwell#1 & Dwell#2 machines for 5K a year. I train the hotel associates how and when to clean their hotel. Every 5 years the machines are replaced with new ones. I'm going on my 6th year doing this. I continue to visit the hotels and work side by side with hotel carpet cleaners.

What are your favorite cleaning agents for the sort of work you do?
I defer to John Olsen. I'm sure for a cost you can purchase a Dwell Pro sample box. I only buy from John & Laura.

Which of these things are not like the other?

I can wear those shorts but prefer not to.

Ted Kaczynski's old place. He's down the road in Florence

The real Dwell#1 was mounted on that...

Dwell Pro machines are American Made with as many American Made parts as possible.

What is the guarantee/warrantee on the Dwell ONE?
I'll take recommendations on this one. I want to stand behind my machines forever.

How do you know John Olson?
He has helped a great deal with great information when it comes to chemicals & flood restoration

Whats up with that Powr-Flite wand?
It's a CFR roller wand. I like forward motion. No one is ever forced to use this wand. In fact hotel associates choose their own wands. I had a CFR1020Q way back when. Turned it into a CFD (Constant Flow Design)
That was a cool ahead of it's time design by the original CFR.

Do you believe in ETMs?
Whats the point? Your still to far from the work site. Dwell Pro machines are always at most 50 ft. from the operator, usually 35ft. while the machine is 50ft from the water source.
That's 85ft. from water source to operator with no vac change. At some point you loose vac right? Not so much with a Gas blower I'm sure
but four 3 stage in whatever combination? When is too far? I want the power with me warm inside with the doors closed.

How about Santa Clause?
I think he's been with me everyday since I moved to Aspen.

Do you feel that you cut any corners on the Dwell ONE to keep the price down?
Not yet and hopefully never. It has just gotten to be the machine I enjoy the most.

Have you ever made or tried a Booster Box with your unit?
The Dwell#1 was a single 3 stage vac machine for many years. I wired a second 3 stage and carried it in my vans. When needed I simply hook it to the muffler.
I'M working on a new 6.6 low-amp/long-life 2 stage in an aluminum box booster.

fill in the __Thanks for having me on Mikey's Board________

anybody with constant high rise hotel or resort rooms to clean
Truckmount haters who have a helper
cry babies who live in Vancouver

all should strongly consider this unit as its extremely well put together and though out.

and if you work in homes that don't have garbage disposals, refrigerators or washer/drier outlets to tap into you probably are not the right fit.

I'm counting 20 amps for the vacs if they're decent 3 stage motors. I checked today and my 2000 watt heater was 17.2 amps. The pump has to run at least 15 and as a 2 horse, likely 20. Where do you find the power to run all that, especially with the amp draw?
